Bloodstone, also known as Heliotrope, is a stone of courage, vitality, and purification. Revered for its grounding and protective properties, it is believed to boost energy, promote resilience, and support emotional healing. Often used to balance the root chakra, Bloodstone is thought to encourage endurance, purify negative energies, and enhance a sense of stability and strength.

Scientifically, Bloodstone is a variety of chalcedony with the chemical formula SiO₂, typically dark green with red iron oxide inclusions that resemble drops of blood. These inclusions give Bloodstone its distinctive appearance. It has a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7.
